The Honorable Nick Steinbrecher is the Secretary of Knife Hands. He formed The Knife Hand Company in January of 2023. In June of 2026, The Knife Hand Company would become The Department of Knife Hands and Steinbrecher would become the first ever Secretary of Knife Hands.

Mr. Steinbrecher joined the North Dakota Army National Guard as 15T, UH-60 Helicopter Repairer, where he still serves to this day as a mechanic and a crew chief on the UH-72 Lakota. Although he has never deployed overseas to a combat zone, he has been involved in State side missions to include providing support to the Secret Service during the 2024 Presidential election campaigns.

His military awards and accolades include but are not limited to: 4 Army Achievement medals, the Non Commissioned Officers Professional Development ribbon, the Basic Aviation Badge and the highly esteemed and prestigious National Defense Service Medal.

The Secretary's base of operations is located in Arthur, North Dakota.
